Back to Business!

Happy Autumn everybody. Today you can really feel it, no? This week I am off to Austin, TX to ride in the Lance Armstrong Foundation Ride for the Roses to benefit cancer survivorship. I am happy to report that I reached the highest fundraising level this year. I have created a blog to chronicle my fundraising and meanderings on Lance Armstrong, so you can follow there if you are interested.

I have posted a new article today on International Trademark Registration, as the U.S. is now a party to the Madrid Protocol, which allows for one-stop shopping (more or less) for international registration of your trademark. This system will make what was formerly a virtually insurmountable proposition into a reality (those who have tried to manage international trademark filings in the past will know what I mean!). I hope that you find the article interesting and helpful.

Thank you for your continued support of lawgirl.com. I am going on 8 years now, and, while I will continue with this site, I am in the process of creating a new site as well. Please stay tuned!

All the best,

Jodi

December 9, 2003
Greetings everyone! It has been a long time, but I've been busy....Really, really busy. More on that later.

I have put up a new article on getting into entertainment law in response to myriad requests on the subject. You will find the article Here. And if there are any attorneys out there who have internships or clerkships available, please feel free to write to me and I will be happy to post the listing for lawgirl.com readers.

Also, I am supporting the Lance Armstrong Foundation by trying to raise $20,000 in 2004 to support cancer research and survivorship. (Yes, I am a cancer survivor). In the spirit of holiday giving, or if you are otherwise inclined, consider making a small donation to The Lance Armstrong Foundation and help me reach my goal. I know far too many people who are not as fortunate as I have been and are losing their battle with cancer. Please help to find a cure. Your generosity is very much appreciated.

Finally, I have temporarily suspended posting on the Music Law Forum until those very naughty folks who are causing trouble there learn to behave. Behave!

More soon...

All the best,
Jodi
