A group of friends of mine and I have been putting together a group of programmers to work on projects together and just generally supplement the somewhat lacking programming offerings at our respective high schools. Because we don't live very close, and few of us drive, we have decided to take our project on the web and invite whoever wants to to join. The source code and executables will be free to anyone who wants them. We have been calling our group "The Workz" (I'm not exactly sure how the name came about, except that "z" is my favorite letter of the alphabet:). Anyway, someone couldn't remember our URL and began typing whatever seemed logical and stumbled upon the site http://www.workz.com/ Do we have to change our name? They were on the web first and have some kind of copyrights or trademarks or something (I understand C++, not confusing copyright notices.) But I don't think it should be a problem because we are so different, and my group isn't trying to make money or anything. Can you help? Our site is temporarily located at http://www.geocities.com/the_workz/ (please forgive the poor design, it's only a temporary home )however, zookee.com has offered to host our site. We will be moving into zookee in a few weeks.

Thanks for your time,
Susan
