I like to make stereo copies of movies on audio CDs to listen to (there's nothing like a Starship flying from one side of the car to the other!) and have only done so for my own enjoyment... but, I'm considering making copies to see in online auctions. A video dealer at a Sci-Fi convention explained the copyright law as: If something's been broadcast on TV and is not offered for sale, it's free to copy and sell... which I had trouble believing, but he WAS making a living selling obviously bootlegged tapes! Finally, if this is illegal, could I take a page from the taverns and bars, offering the CD for "free" if another item is bought? Thanks!
